USF Confederacy

We are now accepting bids for this scratch built model of the USF Confederacy, still under construction. Once a bid has been accepted, the model will be completed within two years. Installment payments are acceptable, with progress reports and photos sent on a monthly basis.

This model is made with Redgum for the frames, Pau Amarillo for the keel, stem, sternpost, deadwood and hull planking. Walnut was used for the quarter dewck exterior bulwarks. Each frame is built up from up to sixteen separate pieces of wood, laminated together. Ebony was used for the wales , and all planks are to proper scale and are treenailed. Holly will be used for the deck planking and Bloodwood for the inner bulwarks. All of the cannons will be turned from scratch.

The extensive carving work has already been started, and can be seen in the photos.

A two thousand dollar deposit will reserve this model for the serious buyer.

The model is for sale at the price of $25,000.00 US. Packaging, shipping and Insurance will depend on destination and will be quoted separately.
