The Mayflower
The Mayflower is the ship that carried the pilgrams to the new world in 1620. It was built around 1610.
This model of the Mayflower is constructed from a Constructo kit and took approximately 250 hours to complete. It is constructed of walnut and mahogany and is plank on frame. The model has been finished with a clear gloss wood finish with medium blue trimmings, gold and brass accents. The lower portion of the hull is painted white. She sports a set of hand sewn sails. The model deminsions are: 28" inches Long, 22" inches tall, 11" inches wide. There is no case being offered with this model.
Although there are no known plans, contemporary paintings or sketches of the
Mayflower which would let us know exactly what she looked like, we do know
that she would have been a typical merchant vessel. This is a beautiful
representation of what she might have looked like and is being offered at
the very reasonable price of only $950.00 US.
